The Early Days

My early days were happy ones, but …something happened. Now all my memories only bring me pain and I just want to forget it all.

This is from my original novel [Fatesbane] and it represents Dantia trying to forget her early memories- like burning a photograph in her mind. In the novel, she doesn't want to talk about her past. She'll only admit to being a former pirate when she was a child and that she has three tattoos on her body. Anything else like family or her real name is locked tightly in her mind.
