Fatesbane - Tia's Lord of the Sea Attire

Description

This is the outfit Tia mostly wears in Fatesbane: Lords of the Sea. I also included the design of The Cruel Whore's helm where Tia spends most of her days. The helm is made of wood, silver, and sapphire- most pirate ships often have opulent wheels as a show of importance, or (in the case of a stolen wheel) how well their thievery is. In the case of The Cruel Whore, the original captain stole the materials from his brother's coffers and had the wheel crafted on another continent.

Tia's attire is a reflection of the changing times in her world. The humans are slowly evolving into a steampunk era, and while the steam powered horseless carriages are gaining more ground on land, sailing the seas is still the ultimate way to travel from one continent to another. Sixty years ago, back before she became a slow aging falucite-human hybrid, bodices were never meant to be seen and it was indecent to show off so much chest, neck, and leg- unless one was a 'working girl'. Now women are gaining more of a presence in the career world, and clothing is shrinking for better maneuverability (among other reasons).

Drawn and colored on Photoshop CS3.

Tia and the Fatesbane series belong to :iconmyst-the-wicked:. Please do not steal- if you want to draw fanart, or borrow the world or characters, just ask.
