I'm a writer and I can draw/paint a little. Most of my ideas come to me in dreams like a pilot episode trying to impress a network. Most of the time, I'm seeing it through the eyes of the lead character and I can't tell if they're a boy or girl. This is why the main characters in my stories end up androgynous or a little masculine/feminine for their genders.
Interests
I just looked up and saw that I've been here for seven years- started here on March 12, 2006 during spring break and I was 19 years old then. I was in community college, just working on my core classes so I could transfer to a university without the 'acceptance' stress and spending less money on education. I was in a place that didn't have much technology, so all of my art classes were traditional only (not that I'm complaining), and all my art work was clearly crappy novice stuff.

My first deviation was and I posted some of my old high school works like

But seven years later, I've graduated from college with a bachelors in Art and Technology, and until the State of Texas stops offering only minimum wage jobs, I'm doing my own thing. I'm planning my own games, writing my own novels, and digitally painting my own cover art and images for said novels. Does it make me money? Not enough to live on, but I'm doing what I love.

I made maps , found my own art style , and I even made a dedication painting to Big Tex after he burned up at the State Fair

So this is how much I've improved in seven years- let's see what I can do in the future.

Yay! It's okay if you were late- I didn't have the Internet since Christmas and just got it back today, so I didn't notice :XD:

Oh, man, that must've been rough. Unless you had plenty of books, which is never a bad thing. I make sure to keep stocked up on books.

I had just gotten the entire 'How to Train Your Dragon' book series, and I still had Fatesbane to write, so it wasn't all that bad.

HI HI HI NICE TO SAY HI TO YOU :)

How are we dear Wicked-y person you?

So. There I was, sprawled across my bedroom floor with a book in hand, when I had this sudden question pop in my mind at the end of one of the chapters: I wonder how long it takes for writers to write a chapter. And then I thought of all the weekly released chapters on FictionPress. Which in turn made me think of the HUGE LONG CHAPTERS - No kidding, you like update the longest weekly updates I have EVER seen anyone do. It must be at least 10 or so pages!! - you update every week, which then brought me to this question that I am now rather curious about:

How do you manage to write your chapters so fast? AND get them edited in time for the weekly updates? It doesn't seem like an easy thing to do. I know - it takes me ages to be satisfied enough with a chapter to even KEEP it let alone PUBLISH it.

So, there is my curiousity laid out in front of you. Cyber hugs from moi :)

I suppose my biggest help is my inspiration towards the story- I had one dream followed by several little 'scenes' playing in my head to keep me going. I can also contribute everything to the fact that I don't have a steady job at the moment so I have enough free time outside of caring for my father to do this. It's kind of a double-edged sword because as long as I don't have a full-time job, I have the time to write, but at the same time, if I don't make enough money, I won't be able to live long enough to write. I unfortunately live in a place where you're overqualified to work if you finished college and got a degree.

What I do can be grueling to most people- I strive to write at least four pages a day (five if I'm on a roll) and try to finish at at least sixteen pages by Thursday. I then send it to the beta and if I'm lucky, her schedule will allow her to read through it and send back the first round of corrections and questions on the same day. Sometimes she's not available, so I have to sit tight and wait for her. The revision process takes around three rounds of reading and correcting before it's satisfactory to post.

And I'll admit, I have some days where I stare blankly at the screen and get nothing done. That's when I try to write a third of a page and then find something to distract me between them (like a video game, chore, or a day time talk show) until I finally reach my quota for the day. There are also a few times when a scene came out so wrong that I had to start all over. But usually it's something that I just need to write over and change a few sentences. It's easier for me to go over what's already written and change it rather than trying to create new text so it doesn't take as long for me to catch up.

So I hope that answers your questions. I kinda know I work at a near inhuman pace, but it's because of my circumstance and the fact that I don't want to sit there and do nothing while waiting for some big cheese to give me a chance and hire me. Thanks for the cyber hugs *returns the hug*!

Thank you for replying to my question!

That's really awesome, striving for four pages a day. I average at two, I think, but that's not even daily. More like... when that writer itch gets too strong to ignore,(ah, the writer's itch. Nasty little thing, but quite useful for procrastinating little me). It's awesome to know that you get your ideas mostly the same way I do - by dreams! They're lovely little places for writers, aren't they :3

I'm sorry to hear about your employment troubles... I'm 16, so I don't have to go through that,(yet, sadly. Key word is yet O.O)Someone ought to employ you! You're obviously a very creative and hardworking person!

Well, thanks again for replying to me, I found the insight to your writing process rather interesting :) Have a lovely day/night/whatever (Time Zones: Confusing Charle since 1996 :D)
